Any one tell me my husband sponsor me from canada and submitted application in sep2012. How much time it will take and wat is actual procedure who will receive letter or file number and approx after how much time its more than a year and still do not get any information plz help me

Your husband should have received the sponsor approval about a month after submitting the application. That letter would have the file number.

What is your visa office? The timeline can vary greatly depending on which visa office is handling your file.

Its surprising that you didnt get any file number till now. Minimum sponsorship approval should take place in 27 days .

Just recheck all the saved forms if you have and check

1 If you have opted for email address all communications will go to that email. Check all the folders in email where you can find if any communication from cic is missing

2 your husband should call cic and ask them if they have any pending application with them . he can quote his client id while dealing with them, if its approved they can give filenumber

3 if nothing works out fr first 2 fill all forms and reapply again

I checked the status of my file by his UCI number according to which it is under process.
My husband applied by Otawa.
Plz confirm if file number will be alloted after when it will be received in Islamabad(Pakistan) or before it?

Hi,

Inprocess means your application reached islamabad and they are looking at it. According to cic website processing time for islamabad is 31 months. Im not sure when vo asks for passport or should have requested already.check all your emails and postal mails for any communication from cic

if email was entered in all forms . they will contact in email only,It says clearly in all forms that if email was provided all communications wil be in email only. but double check all forms if you have copy if email is provided in all the required fields
