Application Submisson

Hello everybody,

I am new to this forum and I am not sure if this has been discussed before. I sent my application last month and as per Canada post it was delivered on December 30, 2016 with a signature as I requested it.
I have not heard anything from CIC yet stating that they may have received my application with a case number. Does it usually take sometime before they get back to you saying here is your case number and we are working on it? Just feeling nervous hoping the package was not lost anywhere in transit?

You said that you have proof of delivery from Canada post , so CIC received it
definitely...sometimes it takes some time I received my AOR1 three weeks
after they received ...you'll get yours probably this Wednesday or next week

Yep - two three or four weeks for an acknowledgement, in some cases no acknowledgement at all and the first you hear is sponsor approval.

It's a wonderful system that you have paid so much for I know
