Application status hasn't changed but received passport request

Hello everyone,

I submitted my application of Nov 2nd and then on-wards in my application only 'review of medical results' has changed to 'passed' but rest of profile looks like:
application/profile status-open
review of eligibility-review in process
review of medical results-passed
review of submitted documents-no additional documents are needed at this time
scheduling an interview-not needed at this time
a background check is needed-in progress
final decision-not started

I got passport request on Feb 3rd and I posted it on Feb 23rd (in between I was in my home country). My passport has been received in Ottawa but just wondering how/why my status hasn't changed and still showing in process for most of the parts but have already received passport request. Does this mean that my status will change once my passport will be stamped and sent back to me?

This is normal. All applicants receive PPR request with almost this status. You status will now be updated once they finalize your application. Yes, application status will change once my passport will be stamped and sent back to you.

It will remain open until they generate the COPR ... and after generating COPR your return tracker will be activated and you will ge the passport and copr back ....dont worry its normal....

Was the same for me. Status was only updated a week or so after PPR, some time afte sending passport copy and photos.

Yup i am also received ppr from canadiam embassy pakistan after decision made...well my status changed after 3 weeks and i got passport back with visa stamo after 2 weeks to the date of status changed in process to decision made

Same here i got my passport back after i sent it when i received ppr and now it say its in process but they gave my passport back with a letter saying its in process
