So I'm wondering if anyone has any experience similar to my own, or any advice on what I should do.

I am sponsoring my Chinese wife, we are both currently living and working in Fuzhou, Fujian Province. She was born in Henan and that is currently where her HUKOU (Chinese Residence card) is.

On July 17th I was accepted as a sponsor and they said the application would be forwarded to Beijing, as we marked and where we sent her medical results. Although Fujian is covered by the Hong Kong office, the research I did pointed to going by her HUKOU to determine where to sent the application.

On August 18th, we got an email confirming her application had been received.....by Hong Kong.

I;m wondering if that is where I should have sent it to in the first place....and they just transferred it...has it been sent by mistake....what about the medical results we sent to Beijing....

Any and all comments welcome and Appreciated....

Beijing 6 months to Hong Kong 19 months.....

You need to double check where the medical results need to be sent from the doctor that did the exam. If they were sent to the wrong place, they probably won't forward them to the correct place. You will have to redo the medicals. Ours got "lost" and even though DHL confirmed delivery of the medicals, they still didn't look for them at the visa office and we had to redo them. it was a pain in the butt! (it added like 4-5 months extra to our process)

Contact CIC.

As for your medicals, they don't go anywhere but Ottawa usually. Then Ottawa gets a request for the medicals and sends them to the VO.

The DMP sends the medical to the Regional Immigration Medical Centre responsible for the area where the DMP is working. If the medical was done in the PRC the medical results would be sent to Bejing

Here is the list of the RIMC

The office on the medical check doesn't matter, it's just sent to the RMC and they'll resister the data online you can see it from any office in the world.
