My Work Experience in Canada

Oct-7-2010 till June-24-2011

March-3-2013 to till date

My initial work permit was from Oct-2010 till March 2011. Before this WP expired i applied for extension which i got in Sep-2011. I worked(implied status) between March 2011 and june 2011.

Will this be counted towards my expeience. Because i'm scared after reading the below post.

is the correct link

It shouldn't be a problem
However look at the precise dates of your working - discount the time on implied status - how much experience do you have ie do you meet the one year? If you meet 12 months, not a problem. If you don't then hang on and see what happens with the other applicant - we know the vo made a mistake and most people are approved

Well, you can't really do anything but wait until CIC responds to you. You should be fine as long as you were actually under implied status. There have been a bunch of people who have gotten their PR with implied status as part of their experience. CIC does state under CEC requirements that "have gained your experience in Canada with the proper authorization". Implied status is def proper authorization. In your application, did you put proper documentation showing you were under implied status? For example, your refusal or approval letter. The refusal letter would usually have when your status was extended to (usually the refusal date) and if its a new work permit, it would be till the date of the new work permit expiry. Please read posts from the other thread for further info on this.

Thanks.
@youngJC: My first WP was between Oct-7-2010 till March-23-2011. Before the expiry i applied for extension. On the extended WP, the Date Signed: 10-Aug-2011 and valid until 30-Sep-2011. Even before i had this WP in my hand i returned back to my Country.

In the application form (Economic Class) i mentioned the dates as Oct-7-2010 till June-24-2011. My actual working dates

1 more question..
On eligibility, will the VO consider the date he received the form, or the date mentioned on the reference letter

Eligibility is the date the whole application was received.
You were on implied from March 23rd till Aug 10th? Thats about 5 months and way over the normal average time.

In 2011 it took 4 months for me as well to get my WP renewed, 5 months seems to be okay for me.

It looks like, even without the implied status period, you still have more than 12 months. If that's the case, you should be totally alright.

Oct-7-2010 till March-23-2011: You can only count work experiences in the last 3 years, so Nov 2010 to March 23-2011. That's more than four months.
March-3-2013 to till date: That's more than 8 months.

Your application lock in date is the date it is received at CIO. However, your reference letter has to cover the full time for the experience you are claiming. If the dates on your experience letters don't cover the full 12 months, then the VO doesn't have the required proof of your work experience. That's why the requirement for "recent, up-to-date" letters...
