Application returned, stating missing docs

I had my husbands application returned today. It states it’s missing the checklist, signatures and family dependent forms but they are all there with the application. I’m so upset. Do I now have to make a whole new portal account? This is so frustrating

Yes, you will need to resubmit if the application was returned to you. On the plus side, you now do it all online, so the documents will be uploaded in the order that IRCC needs them in. You need to check the website to ensure you used the most recent forms, and if not use the updated forms when you upload them through the portal.

i actually did submit online not paper based. The documents I submitted were uploaded in the portal. I don’t understand why they say they didn’t receive them as they are with the application and can view it. But, I found out my own answer, that no I don’t need a new account, they let you edit the app you have already submitted.

Hi Ebuka, my husband’s application was also returned. But there was no email specifying what was missing and don’t know if I should resubmit. Did they send you an email indicating what was required or how did you know what was missing?

hi! Yes, in the email they specified which documents. Also, in the portal it showed which ones they had an issue with. If you did online submission, check in your portal as it will show. If you did paper, resubmit everything by doing it online.

He received only 1 email, saying the details will be sent in a separate email. How many emails did you receive?

I received 2 emails. Make sure to check junk mail just in case. Mine came at the same time

so far, it’s only 1 since Friday. If I log into the portal, will be able to see where the errors are?

Yes you should. My documents had a red warning beside it instead of the green ones that were accepted

I have checked his emails over and again, lols. When I checked his portal, only the declaration had that red warning… I guess we will just re do the declaration and submit. Thank you very much, your replies were very helpful
