Application returned due to insufficient funds

My application for PR family class (common law) was returned due to insufficient funds on the open work permit.

I have 32 day until my current status expires but the rules have changes and now i need to supply my police certificates with the application. which is 7-10 days at least.

What are my options?

You can apply to renew your status up until the day before it expires. 30 days is a reccommrndation. Apply for the police check and verify your forms are the latest and resubmit

If not, spend the 100 bucks and apply to extend your stay - youll have implied status

Why they return your PR application as well due to wrong fee on OWP?

All of it came back, One or more of the following: No proof of payment, Incorrect Payment, IMM5710 OWP app incomplete.

Pretty vague, I'm seeing a lawyer on monday to confirm

I'm on IEC so I cant, worst case I go home for a bit and come back as a visitor and re submit

Since they changed the checklist in the time between me sending it and them opening it, would that be enough for them to send the whole lot back? It was signed for by them on the 13th and they changed the document on the 14th.

How much did you pay and did you include the receipt?

You can certainly apply to change your status and extend your stay as a visitor.

I payed $1040 for the PR and included the receipt

And $155 for the work permit extension

Which I now think should have been 355 for the renewal of status and WP extension

It should have been $255 for the OWP. You missed the $100 Open Work Permit holder fee.

Yeh I looked on the website last night and I guess I just paid for the wrong thing, seeing the lawyer on Monday to check through before I submit again just to be sure!
