I just got home and picked up my mail. The entire application package for my wife's P.R. status returned because they said I didn't include proof of payment or photos. Except I actually did, it's right there. Two photos in an envelope, and the receipt for payment of all the fees. I'm kinda sorta livid. Cos I sent it may 1 and now they say I'm starting from scratch in the queue.

What can I do? How do I prove that it's their error and get this package processed?

triple check that you have the right amount paid and the right photos. Attach a cover letter and send it back. Thats all you can do.
 
That's ridiculous. They should've sent your application back right away, not after 3.5 months. I would try to get my MP involved right away and demand and explanation for this.
 
Before calling your mp call cic and ask for clarification. It could be that the photo size was incorrect and that the payment amount was incorrect. The MP cannot really get involved if the app isnt even in the system. My suggestion is call cic monday and get the app back asap
 
Did you include the 20 personal photos?

I can't see them returning it for that but thought I'd mention..
