Hi guys, I'm looking for a little clarification for the form IMM 5490:Sponsored Spouse/Partner Questionnaire.

#6 asks "Give any additional details describing the circumstance of your first meeting with your sponsor."
and
#9 asks "Describe how your relationship developed after your first contact/meeting with your sponsor and if you and your sponsor dated or went on any outings or trips together."

My husband and I met online and then met in person about 8 months after we started online dating. So for these questions do I answer how we "met" online or our first physical "meeting"?

Also a quickie- on IMM 0008: Generic Application form for Canada when it asks if I've gone by "any other nicknames" should I include "Beth" if my full name is "Elizabeth"? Almost all of my official paperwork is done under my full name (so it wouldn't be like I'm hiding) but I answer to "Beth" on a daily basis.

Thanks!

You'll notice that question #6 is in the SAME section in the first question ends with "in person". So we answered both of these questions in the context of "in person".

#6. "At that time, I am going to Philippines for vacation, and so I asked (Joe) if he would like to visit Philippines and meet me and my family there. (Joe) happily agreed and arranged to take his vacation at that time also."

Our #9 was 3 sentences using real names and places but in effect stated... (Joe) visited me here. (Joe) visited me there. (Joe) visited me there a second time and proposed.

That's it.

Since "Beth" is a variation of your real name I wouldn't bother. It would be different if your nickname was not even close to your real name. Neither of us put down our abbreviated or nicknames.
