Dear All,

I am starting this new thread for all who have applied for Immigration in Canada and have applications in process. Certainly, we can not influence our respective immigration offices to speed things up but we can discuss what we can do here to be ready and settled in Canada fast, also if we have some questions (about what we can do while application is in process) in mind we can discuss. Like:

1- Can I take admissions in a Canadian University while my application is in process? so that I can start studding as soon as i reach there.
2- Do getting a job offer (while application is in process) speed things up?

looking forward active participation.

Hey Kaltaf!
I thinks there is only one thing what all of us can do in such situation, is Wait ;-( . I am In Process since Nov 2010 and believe me nothing else only waiting and of cause HOPE for the best and fast results.....

Hi there, waiting for so long : (( . I have just filed my appliaction this month...i think it might take ages then...

All the best Sushma!!! I think the new application will be process faster, as new system is working much faster. Applications after Jun 2010 were processed much faster then pre Jun 2010 application ( this is where I am now). So do not worry all will be fine!!!

Thanks for initiating these issues. Hope we will share our understanding and query. It will help us starting our new journey though we are in an enormous cue. May Almighty be good to us.

yeah it gonna took 4+ months...but as i read in various sites and forum now the process has changed and they are moving pretty fast! Best of luck!!!

Good luck!!!!
we also sent everything together, my husband is the main applicant. I think for us thinks are delay as we worked in few different countries. So by the time they will do all paper check ups many months will flow. And if you are only live and work in Australia then thinks will move much faster.

Thanks all for taking part in information. Yes, new applications are said to be process fast. Also i think with wait we can prepare ourselves after landing process e.g. job/house finding, bank and other social services as "being ready is half success".

A quick question to Forum:

I am Pakistani resident and had applied in Dec 2009 (full paper sent in May 2010) my visa office is London. I have an opportunity coming in UK do you think i should go there for a year? my application status is RBVO since many months.

I think you should, such opportunities do not come every day!And also you will be in the same area with your VO. Just Inform them about your new address ( if you wish to change). But this is my opinion, please check with more senior and experienced person.
Good luck!!!

Thank you for the reply marvik2011, I also think same but i am afraid that if the are (or will) checking background information, i wont be doing job with my current organization what will be the impact?

Also do you think I should check CAPIS info as i have applied in DEC 2009 and sent my full documents to London visa office in May 2010?
