Hello, i am on the process of applying to sponsor my spouse. I am so confused whether to do the in-canada application or outside canada application. Both of us are residing in canada right now. As I browse through the net, it seems to me that application outside canada is much more faster. I wonder if i could use the inside canada for faster purpose.

also i want to ask the same question , i am ready to apply the sponsorship application but i am traveling for Canada withing few days , so should i apply from Canada or from my country ,Egypt and which is the fast?

Applying in Canada takes 12-18 months in total. After six months you'll get an approval in principle, which makes it possible for you to apply for an open ended work permit.

The time for applying outside of Canada varies depending on where your application is processed. The application will be processed at the office responsible for your country of citizenship or your country of residence, if you've lived in that country for more than one year.

Generally, applying outside of Canada will be faster. Also, if you apply in Canada it's tricky to travel.
