please i would like to know what to tick on question 6 in imm 008 my language of taught is english but
english is not my mothers tongue but nigeria is an english speaking. should i write native languague english
or i should just tick the box that says i speak english. i want to know.

To my understanding, native language is the language you grew up on and talked your whole life, not the language you learned throughout your life.
If you grew up knowing English then you would type in English.
If you grew up knowing another language then later learned English then you would type the language you grew up knowing in the box then check of which language you use the most now whether that be English, French, or Neither.

Your native language is your first language, the language you started speaking as a baby. If you first learned English in school, then English is not your native language. My husband (a Nigerian) put 'Igbo' as his native language, then checked 'neither' for which language he uses most frequently (since he ordinarily speaks Igbo). Then for question 11 he checked 'yes' for the question 'Can you communicate in English?'
At interview the visa officer will likely be able to tell that English is not your native language. The visa officers are well aware of what languages are likely to be the native language of an applicant. It also doesn't matter - you are a sponsored spouse or partner, so having a native language that is not English or French will not hurt your application at all.
