application from manila (2004)independent immigrant

anybody knows what happen from application way back in 2004 ,my relatives in the Philippines applied for independent immigrant to Canada and hav't hear anything except they have theit b-file number.any help will be appreciated.

We applied in nov 2004. Currently , our passports are with the embassy and waiting for them to be returned with visa.

probably same month,but only b-file nothing else. they don't know if their application is still active.how about after you received your b-file how long it takes before they issued you a visa,thanks....

we received our file number in march 2005...didn't hear anything until last quarter of 2008...they asked us if we still wanted to continue with our application or withdraw...then silence again from 2008 until we received a letter in oct 2010, asking us to update our records...since then, there's always development every 2 to 3 months...right now, our passports are with the embassy for visa stamping...we are waiting for them to be returned
