Application forwarded to Visa Office that is not in your Home country - India

Hope you are keeping it together and well !

I applied for my daughter's Sponsorship. I & my wife are PRs and my daughter was born outside Canada in India, our home country. However, after my sponsorship evaluation, the communication stated that the primary applicant's application is forwarded to Visa office in Nairobi for further processing. Should It not have been Visa office in Delhi for India.

Has someone come across a similar scenario ?. I've raised a webform, but you know how and when they respond.



Timeline -

PAPER APPLICATION SUBMITTED -> MARCH 14 2022
RECEIVED AT SYDNEY OFFICE -> MARCH 21 2022
AOR -> MAY 27 2022
MEDICAL INSTRUCTION -> JUNE 23 2022
SPONSORSHIP APPROVAL -> JUNE 24 2022
MEDICAL DONE -> JUNE 28 2022
MEDICAL PASSED -> JUNE 29 2022

While technically they can send to any office, Nairobi would be unusual i think. It's more common for them to send to larger offices or those dramatically underused.

I'd wait another month and see if any response, and perhaps then try mp.
