Application forwarded to London and gone straight to ' In processing'

[Brit-in-Alberta]

Hey everyone, My application was received July 3rd and we got SA September 1st. Application was sent to London.


Under 'Permanent Residence Application Status' I have 'In process' with a message -

We received Brit-In-Alberta's application for permanent residence on July 3, 2015.
We started processing Brit- In- Alberta's application on September 17, 2015.

I know in the past this was an indication that an immigration officer was looking at the application and you are nearing the end. I'd love to think that London is zooming through applications and I have actually gone straight into processing but at not even 3 months in, I doubt it.

I've heard speculation that this is now what London do when they receive an application.


My reason for this post - I'm wondering if this is the case for other people. I'm curious to see if I can see if their is some sort of pattern. Also, Has anyone been told by CIC why they have gone into processing?

"In Process" is the continual state until they actually finish it. eCAS is next to useless for relevant information.
