Hi guys

I’m not sure if this is a bug or not, but when filling the citizenship form, some questions disappear after answering the previous related question. For example, the form asks if some one is helping you fill it. When you say no, all the questions related to who is helping you and etc disappear. This makes sense. The problem is when you want to print the form, all these disappeared questions reappear, but have no answer and are blank. I’m not sure if I should re fill the blank fields and write “not applicable” in them

What do you guys think?

Thanks

Not a bug. You can just mark it as '-' (dash)

I didn't put N/A or any dash in blank fields. I hope it will be ok.

I think a lot people don’t know what to do with the blank fields, as they only appear after printing. You are supposed to print, sign and send.

I think you will be ok

Oh my God! This happened to #metoo. Hidden section suddenly appeared right before printing and ended being printed without getting answered. Just before sending the application package by courier, I just luckily spotted it. "Are you paying anyone to fill it out?" got unanswered. I just took a black pen and manually checked the "no" box with it.

That is why, it is very very important (imperative, rather) to revise each line of the forms before you put them inside an envelope! It is a very good point you have drawn everyone's attention to. I have a grim feeling that a lot of people who are NOT taking the help to fill out forms may accidentally fall into this pitfall.

I think someone should raise it as a bulletin or something on this page so that everyone is aware. Otherwise, this innocent miss may render an application form partially filled which in turn could cause the entire application to be returned unnecessarily.

I would like to differ and say that it is a bug. It should not reappear just before printing.

Interesting point...

The problem is depending on your answers, these blank fields are everywhere. For example, it says is your mailing address the same as your home address, I said yes, the field about what the mailing address is disappeared. Then when I am printing, the field re-appears as blank.

I still think you would be ok to not fill them. The instructions say print, sign, send. It does not say print, sign, fill with pen, send.

This is confusing and I have a feeling others are confused too

I’m going to send my application in two weeks, may be I’ll add a page and tell them about why I am writing with a pen on my application

Thanks
