Hi.

I just want to ask about my work permit , the effective date is June18,2014 but I started working in June 19, 2014. If I'm going to calculate it. I need 1 day to complete the 24 months periods before i can apply for open work permit and Permanent Residency . Do i still need to apply for extension of contract even its just a day lacking.

Please I need replies. Thanks.

I have the same concerns,
But yours is only a day difference, so maybe you can talk to your employer about declaring that you've worked overtime, so you don't have to apply for extension but to apply for Open Work/ PR right away...
