Hey there,

I have a few questions about CEC and being eligible to apply under this category so I am going to post all of them. Thanks for the answers in advance.

First of all a few facts about my situation: I have been working on a temporary charity visa (without LMIA) in Canada since June of 2015 and am still on a work permit till date. I have worked with interruptions though as I had to leave Canada (given the nature of my temporary work permit) but came back several times, all my visas got approved so far and in the last 3 years I have at least a year of full time (or equivalent part-time) experience. My NOC category is 5254 (B) and now I have an ESDC number on my work permit that I did not have before. Also, I am taking an IELTS test soon.

I am completely at my wits end so my questions are:

A: My employer wishes to hire me for another year, (current contract ends in November) starting from March 2018 till March 2019.
If I submit an Express Entry application beforehand, would they give me points for the offer of employment? Does it matter if it's seasonal or full-time if it lasts for a year?

B: Right now I am on a temporary work permit as I have mentioned before. If I register for an EE profile, would it affect my current or future visa(s)? I mean, the Express Entry is an interest of being a future permanent resident.

Sorry If I had too many questions or if I wasnt super clear, let me know if I need to provide clarification.

Thanks again for your answers, all replies are welcome! Have a great day!

- LMIA exemption code C50? Still on the same kind of work permit?
- Is your employer named on the work permit?

Yes, it matters. It has to be full-time, non seasonal, and last for at least one year.
