application filed

I sent my parcel last week and according to tracking they will recieve it today. After they recieve it, how long does it usually take to get something from them saying the application has been filed?

And will they notify me via mail or email?

The sponsor will get a letter in the mail letting them know if they were approved or not. Depending on where you are filing from there are different processing times . Usually a month. After the sponsorhip has been approved the application for PR will be sent to the Visa offfice that your significant other is from.
