Our application was received since last year March 2013, under family sponsorship and till date we have not received a single mail from CIC. But we have called CIC office to obtain the status of our application and they said that everything is okay. Personally, we keep our hands together and eyes wide open. My wife is a Canadian, and I (husband) international student. We have lived together for 3 years now. Planning to get married in catholic church very soon as things strengthen out soon.

Your options, suggestion and ideas are welcomed !!!!!

We need more information.

How did you apply?
Inland or outland?
If outland - which visa office?

WE apply through CIC office in Canada. They only sent us a letter that they received our application after that no other communication and both of us are living here Canada. It hurts my feelings that my mother is suffering from stroke for 2 years now and i have spent 4 years in Canada without crossing border. I pray that I will live to see my mother alive.

If you HAVEN'T received stage 1 approval, also known as AIP, then it may be helpful to call the sponsor's Member of Parliament's. If your application was received in march 2013, I would imagine you are outside the normal processing time to receive this approval. When an MP inquires, CIC has to respond within a certain number of days. Most MP's will not help unless you are outside the posted processing time for your application. I believe stage 1 approval for inland applications is suppose to be 11 months.

If you HAVE received stage 1 approval already, then you still have some time to go before hearing anything about stage 2 approval, and you will need to remain patient.

Thanks rhcohen2014. My wife sent out a mail to BRAD WALL (Premier of Saskatchewan) later he replied of JULY 3, 2014 that our case file has been sent to Honourable Jeremy Harrison (Minister Responsible for Immigration) and it might take Honourable 30 days to get back to us. So we are waiting to get reply from him. CIC office in Saskatoon called my wife and feel very bad for what we are going through and said that they have no right to do anything to help out except their office CIC Ottawa.
In our last discussion with CIC Ottawa they said that CIC Saskatoon will call us for the next step. but right everything is complicated. But we believe that the Minister will have a final solution for our file.
