Hello Everyone

I need some insight.

Short summary of mine and my husbands case.

I am a Canadian citizen sponsoring my husband. We got called in for an interview recently and the visa officer said that our application technically does not exit due to my husband's previous inadmissibility (he applied for a student visa through an agency and the agency check a box that said no when it should of been yes.)

However, our lawyer said that we could overcome the inadmissibility on H&C grounds. Everything was completed he got asked to do a medical, a police check, and to bring his passport during the interview.

However the visa officer said at the very beginning of the interview that our application does not exist.

I just want to know has anybody experienced this before? Also why would they ask us to do a medical, get a new police check, and even go to the interview if all this time our application did not exist? is there something i am missing...

Thank you
