Application assignment due date.

Hello all looking for some insight. I am sponsoring my wife and the latest update we know of says "Application Assignment due date June 20 2019" Anyone know what that means? She has passed background/medical/biometrics etc. All is in good standing with the application. Just wondering what the above means? Any input is appreciated. Thanks

I would guess your app is awaiting final review but due dates don’t mean much with CIC.

if that date was in your notes generally it means nothing... sometimes an officer reviews but often this date comes and goes and there is no update at all

Does an officer still have to go through the application and make a decision for the sponsorship ? I guess my other question is does CIC request medicals, biometrics , background checks before they've even made a decision on the sponsorship ? Do they just compile all the medicals, biometrics, background checks then start looking at the application ? Or have they at least looked it over and thats why they have asked for the medical, biometrics, background checks ? We are doing a conjugal sponsorship thats why I'm a little antsy.

Aww ok, I understand. I hope you will get approved.

I think they proceed by steps, not all VO have the same steps at the same time. But basically, there’s the sponsor approval, eligibility, and background check. They look at the application in between steps.

For my husband, i’ve been told everything is complete except the security screening. I have been told that everything is positive. They have reviewed eligibility but we will still go though a final review before our file is approved (or denied). From reports, I gather that it might some time an officier to do that final review.

You never know until you receive the approval letter.
