Hi

Say a PR is caught at Port of Entry for not fulfilling the mandatory 730 days stay in Canada, but due to validity of his PR, is allowed entry to file an appeal within 30 days.

How long can the PR stay on in Canada ? Will he be sent home right after he file in his appeal ?

Thanks.

Until the appeal is heard.

Thank you PMM for your prompt reply.

1. During the appeal period when he is in Canada, can he live as "normal" as other PRs do ? (study, apply for job, get licenses and insurance....)

2. How long will it take for an appeal to be heard, in general ?

3. If he has met his mandatory 730 days while awaiting for the outcome of his appeal, how is the authority dealing with such situation ?

Thank you.
