When you send your full application to visa office, the office will normally send you a new file number which shall be the mode of your recognition/communication with the office. Also this number can be used on the ecas page to obtain your application status. Should you have a delay getting the AOR from the local office, you can still continue using the file number given to you by nova scotia.
