AOR in Feb, passport expiring in August what to do?

Hello Members,

I have already submitted my application in Feb. My passport is due in August.

Q1-Is there any passport validity required by Canada immigration.?
Q2-Can we renew passport now?
Q3-Will my IELTS still be valid if due to some reason my application gets denied?
Q4-Should I wait for some time or till the final decision is be taken?

Yes. You will need to apply for renewal of your passport. If not, CIC will ask you to renew it before stamping it.

Will my ielts be still valid for another ITA if due to some reason this application gets rejected.

Hi,

CIC requires that your passport should have a validity of atleast 6 months.

You have to renew your passport and update CIC with a CSE.

Your IELTS will still be valid. Reson being you have provided your valid passport on the date of IELTS exam. you need not worry on that front.
