AOR from Mississagua

Hello,
could you please advise from your experience, how long it usually takes to get AOR from Mississagua - the proof that they received the paperwork from sponsor?

As far as I kow, you get the AOR from the visa office who will work on your application later on, if you send your application by DHL or fedex or a similar compagny, your tracking number will show you if the application has been received in Mississaugua

What you get from Mississauga is approval or refusal of the eligibility to sponsor piece. It takes about 30 days from the date they received the application. The sponsor receives a letter in the mail or you can also check ECAS using your receipt number AND the sponsor's information.

AOR means acknowledgement of receipt by the processing visa office. Some send this by letter and some don't. This is sent when an application is received by the visa office and processing has beguan. You can also check ECAS on this.

I guess, I have made a mistake - I meant 'receipt number', not AOR from Mississagua.

When the fees were paid for sponsorship you would have received a receipt number. Actually, I paid mine online so I only know about that. Not sure what you get issued if it's paid at a financial institution.

we paid it on-line too. We got a receipt starting R-xxxxxxxxx.
as I understand - we need to enter this receipt number + sponsor name and check?

as far as I understood now, the information can become available for us only when they make a decision.

Missisauga often starts processing and completes the processing on the same day. That's why most people can see information online only after the decision on the sponsorship has already been made. But the application shows up in the system on the day they start processing.
