Hi, I want to apply for Computer Programmer Diploma at Sheridan College (Either Oakville or Brampton Campuses).

Basically, I want to study the course, then work in Canada, then maybe study another Bachelor or Diploma. I am doing it because I want to, and because I want to stay and live in Canada (immigration?).

My questions are:-
Do I need to take something(s) peculiar in consideration (concerning VISA issues and the like) to apply my plan?
Is that a good college?

Since you said you may consider another bachelor degree program after getting there then why not now?

Degree program will help you in great extent in securing visa.

My profile:-
I have
- TOEFL iBT 98
- TOEFL pBT 630
- High School Diploma from an American Internation School (I took 7 subjects, including Pre-Calculus, Calculus, and Physics) with a total average of B+.
- I have started study at a university here, but I won't mention that...it will only be problematic.
- No work experience.
- 10th grade and 11th weren't that bad... they are OK.

I don't want to apply for a bachelor from now because Philosophy or even Psychology won't get me good money. My plan is: study Computer Programmer Diploma, and I have experience with that, so it will be easy. Then I will work both independent and at a company. Then think about my other interests that aren't related to money (Philosophy, Psychology, and others).

I'm not that worried about getting a VISA for the Diploma if people normally get accepted for it (i.e. unlike Britain where that is very hard, maybe nonexistant). I'm just worried about whether they consider it a normal thing, and whether they will allow just some time to stay there work and prove myself after I finish the Diploma.
