This forum has helped me with a lot of questions. It has taken pretty much 3.5 months since remedical no updates on my file. I didn't get any letter for interview or additional documents. I've put in request to the MP and applied for notes on the side as well. MP office staff said it's pretty much to going to take the same time as it would take for me to get my notes. Is there a 'standard' typical usually the NDVO gets back to you after remedical?. I can't understand what determines expedited process of some application and why some application goes dormant for a while. actually long time.. It feels as though i've been waiting for this to come through for ages.
Anything i could do to at this point besides nervously waiting and checking my Ecas three times a day?.

Thanks

You've done great so far - everything that is possible. Now you just wait.

When did you send in your application? Did your medical expire or you never submitted one beforehand? Ours had expired and took about 30 days to get PPR after the remedical. My wife is Bangladeshi and Singapore VO processed it. One of my Indian friend's wife processed through NDVO took about same time as us - about 10-12 month; which seems about standard. Good luck otherwise!

OP applied in august 2015, so he/she is past 12 months.

when was the last time you ordered notes? do you know whether you've passed eligibility yet?

Yes correct file transferred to NDVO on Aug 2015. Applied for notes on march 2016. Got a remedical letter in last week of May 2016. Remedical completed and sent on first week of June 2016. MP equiry initiated on Aug 2016. Applied for notes again last week. Got a DM on Spousal application Three weeks ago. PR application status says it is still process.

SA Eligibility status -Passed. Sorry the notes was requested on Jan 1. Received on Feb 2. My husband requested it via email. They have not started the Background, security at that point. Remedical letter came in May last week. Just two weeks ago i sent RCMP certificate to NDVO as well.

if eligibility has passed, it's safe to assume they're working on security/background checks. unfortunately there's not much you can do to speed this up besides keep a close eye on their progress through GCMS notes or following up with your local MP, all of which you're already doing.

background checks are different for everyone, so for some they might only take a week, while for others they may take months. nonetheless, getting a remedical request is always a good sign, so hang in there for just a little while longer. you'll get your PPR, it's only a matter of time now.

Thank you for the kind and encouraging words. Hopefully it doesn't take too long for NDVO to process.
