I am a student who has studied for 4 years in Canada and, and graduated this May. I recently applied for a PGWP online through MyCIC. The application was refused because one document was missing. It has been around 20 days since my student status has expired, and immigration Canada has told me that I may apply for the PGWP again, as long as I "restore my status" for $200, in addition to the $150 application fee for the PGWP.

Has anyone had this experience as well? How do you "restore student status" through the online PGWP application? Do I just pay the $200 fee? Because when I start a new application online it only asks for the $200 restoration fee, and the $150 application, along with the usual documents.

I just want to confirm whether I have followed the right procedures. Any help would be much appreciated.

Yes you have to pay both. 200 for restoration and 150 for the PGWP.

Thanks for the help. Is that all I have to do though? I don't have to fill in any extra forms or anything? I only filled in the IMM5710 form as requested online, and uploaded the other documents required for a PGWP. Is that fine?

Yes, if you have done it online, and they have asked you to pay both the 200 and 150. That means you have done the right thing.
