Hi, i have done MR. My Son's passport is valid for 11 months more. Getting it renewed is a difficult process. I am expecting PPR anytime soon. Would they ask for a new passport or has anyone got Visa stamped with passport expiry within a year?

Yes, it is possible to get visa for less than a year because PR visa is based on the medical date or nearest passport expiry date e.g. for your family your son's passport expiry date. No they won't ask for a new passpot; hope these helps.

You are fine, no cause for worry now. They wont ask for a new one @ PPR and so hopefully you get to land before it expires
