Hi All,

Case 1
I would like to know whether anyone got their FSW approval under NIC 0213, when designation is not a manager and only some of the roles and responsibilities are matching as in 0213.

Case 2
I am planning to apply under NOC 0213, what should I do. I am exactly matching with NOC 2171 roles and responsibilities, but unfortunately, I cannot apply under 2171 as this is not a part of 38 ministerial instruction list.

I request some experts to help me or advice me further. I came to know that we can use a reference letter from current manager. I am not having a representative or lawyer to advice on this matter. So I will be verythankful, if I get some expert advice on this matter.

0213 is tough to get in, but let not having the designation not discourage you. Some have got in without the manager title and many have been rejected in spite of having Manager designation, one being me :D. They are really looking for managers, not 2171s. So, only if you can show most or all duties of 0213 will you be successful.

Search for 0213 in the threads here and you will see lots of examples of job descriptions by the successful applicants. Also try to get it right the first time. Do not leave any stone unturned. Describe the duties clearly and concisely. Good luck!
 
Well said charmuse. I had the designation but I believe the combination of years of experience and duties performed may have cut the deal for me.

Sorry, I do not have the description I wrote in the form with me right now, but that should not matter, come up with your own.

just make sure u highlight ur managerial skills but dont forget to mention that u have hands-on system experience... they are looking for managers with technical skills... designation does not matter.... only duties matter... so be very careful in providing them
 
My designation during the tenure of 2 years was Junior Consultant, but my roles I performed in this company during 18 months are of a module leads role in project handling resposibility for module, additional responsibility for project integration testing leader. I was also responsible for doing technical interviews for candidates for my module.

1) Can anyone tell me, seeing my "Junior consultant" role my application will get rejected or not. Actually, I was handling module lead responsibilities in projects I handled.

2) previous company, I may not get a responsibility letter in company letter head, But I can get a letetr from My ex-manager in blank letetr head and also can attach his visiting card along with the letter. Will this be sufficient for applying under FSW 0213

3) from current company, I will not get a resposibility letter from manager in company letter head, whether an affidavit from myself will be sufficient.

Concluding; I will not get resposibility letter from my previous companies in a company letter head. Ex-manager will give an affidavit and his business card. Present company, only way I can do is to prepare an affidavit myself. Please suggest me what I can do on this.
My IELTS score is 7.0, and meeting hight score in Reading, Speaking, Listening and Writing.

Please guide me its urgent.

So,i have a 9 year IT experience,with last 2 years in 0213 and first 7 years in either 2171 or 2174.This is verified with a reference letter from the HR of my present company.


Question :The Reference letter from my present employer truly shows my duties mostly as managerial i.e. 95% with a hint of Technical work in architecture and Design.
Will this be a problem ?Since i saw in one of the replies that CIC is looking for a Manager with technical Skills.

My first 7 years have been purely technical,going from a Developer-->Sr Developer-->Team Lead /Manager-->Manager .
