Hello, I would like to know if anybody has received the PR visa under the new law (system) how long is it taking ? 6-12 months like promsied?

Thanks

Fersal - its still still early for anyone to have received visa under the new system.

Fersal, ppl r getting 2nd letter from embassy to submit complete application to their local cic. it means there is a change in the system usually as per old system ppl got these sort of letters after a year. rupesh correct me if i m wrong ???

I AM NOt sure how the old system works. I think some people receive a letter to find out if they are still interested in immigrating. If they are, then things start proceeding from that point onwards.

As for the new system, they say it will take 6 - 12 months

Hello guys,
I sent my application through courier to cic on 6th of Jan 09. I got a letter from them dated 19th of Jan. 09 asking me to submit full apllication within 120days.
That was pretty fast I think.
I believe if I had complied since then (I still have one or two documents delaying me), the 6-12months period is quite possible. Im optimistic anyway.

I know the queue is shorter than before but looks like some are still trying to jump to the front of it!

I think that until now, the fastest that anybody has reached (under the new system) is that they are being asked to submit all the needed documents, take medicals, RCMP, and interview if needed (or that could be asked later) ALL AT ONCE . however, I think it is impossible that any of these will have earned their PR within 6 months or a year because the journey seems to be a bit longer than we all thought. Eventually, even a year and a half it is all better in all cases than the old system where people used to wait for up to 4 - 6 years to get their PR.
Words (6 mths - 1 year ) were easy to say, but when it comes to reality, oh, well, ...you know the rest...it is always bitterer.

Hello there,
If you are gonna to submit full backups as required by CHC it means you are going as per formula. now ball is in your court and u hv to defend ur case in very first attempt. Mostly , i guess its the applicant who usually forwards invalid/.incomplete application's backups that tends to ask Embassy pls also forward this this or proof ???? ultimately utilises the time span given under new policy,(i hope i am trying to explain)
Now we shd think very carefully what strategy we are going to defend opur case in very first attempt and provide not even single reason to CHC to request futher docs.**every single query made by CHC grabbs time***
What do u say , it all what i am thinking abt new policy!!!!!

Hello There,

Here in Brazil some people already recieved que letter for the medical exam...in Brazil this is the final step in the process...this occurs only when they approve all documents. You guys can check the status of the Brazilian's application in the following link:

http://www.thegreatescape.blog.br/blog/timelines/timelines.asp

Pls, note que some applications did not recive the letter for supporting documents because they do not reached the NOC codes but who has the NOC code received the letter asking the support documents and some people already sent the documents...after send the medical exam, within 2 weeks the office in Brazil send a letter requesting the passaport...

tks,

Rafael
