Anybody did Passport stamping from Newyork visa Office

I need your kind advice on this .

As sending Indian passport out of the country of residence via courier or post is against Indian law, how Indian's in USA managing the passport stamping.


Is there a way to stamp passport in Newyork Visa office instead of CPC Ottawa?

I am not yet reached this end , but collecting info in advance.
