Any return envelope needed to put inside the package?

I just sent my spousal application. On the way back, a question came to my mind: Is it required to put 1 return envelope inside the package?

I remember for some federal skilled worker programs, it was required to put an express envelope inside!

no it is not required to submit a return envelop with the application. if one is needed later, it will be requested with the passport request. not everyone is required to use one and sending it now does not guarantee it will end up at the visa office, so there's no reason to include it.
