Any Re-issue of Passport Experiences at Indian consulate- Toronto/Brampton

Hello everyone,

My passport is expiring in October 2013. My PR file in CEC is under process (I applied in September 2012).
I was wondering if CGI Toronto is quick in re-issuing the passports?
I saw online BLS says it takes 4 to 6 weeks for re-issue. I am confused if I should apply right now or wait for my medicals (Early september applicants have got medicals!).

Anyone with recent experience, please share your timeline and experience with CGI.

Does anyone knows, if we can use the Indian Address to be printed on the passports. While renewing passport in Brampton.
- Do we need to visit Toronto or this could be done at BLS-BRAMPTON
- After filing the forms online, printing and providing all the necessary information, whether we need to visit BLS office or this could be submitted by Post/Mail as well ?
- Are there any other BLS office, except Brampton.
- Does anyone knows, how much is the total fee for this process.
