Hi Everyone,

Im new here. I'm planning to apply for Express Entry. As I understand, anyone from outside Canada and without canadian work experience, might not get more than 430 points or so. That means, people from outside canada who do not not have canadian work experience can only enter canada if they get an LMIA job offer. Am I right?

Now, Lets say my point is 370. If I submit my EE profile and apply job in job bank, then which appears first - they send a positive reply to my job application / take interview / send a employment letter or I get an ITA first and then understand that one of the companies (which Im applying in job bank) offered me a job. Which occurs first?

P.S - Sorry if my questions are silly, as Im only reading CIC websites and forums, getting ready to apply.

Thanks in advance!!

There are many many such cases blue borna. Single people with age 21-29 get 110 points for age, with a masters degree get 135 for education, with CLB10 in all 4 language skills get another 136 and 3 years work ex gets you another 100 on skill transferability, adding to 481, PHD gets another few points, so max possible is more than 481 for outlanders

The maximum points an outlander can get is 496. I got 465 (not married) and I have outlander friends who got 474 and 462 (married) and another who also got 465 (single). We all got ITA and most of us got PR already. Good luck!

Thanks all for your replies. Yes I have calculated my points and its coming somewhere 450/455. So I guess I need a PN to push my points. How to get PN? Is it something you need to choose some province while creating EE profile? Because I want to select 'all of the above' instead of choosing some province. Or after applying through job bank, some company offers you a job and then you get provincial nomination. Can you please make me clear.

Sorry if my questions are silly as Im new and gathering knowledge at the moment. Thanks

If your score is above 450, you can expect ITA in the next couple of draws.

Just create your profile, select all provinces and you're good to go :D

If you have 450+ points you will probably receive an ITA on the next draw, don't worry about PN. I would advise you to create your profile and enter the pool as soon as possible.
