ACCA is not much value in Canada, Accounting professionals need qualifications in CMA, CA and CGA! so ACCA is not much value here and its applicable only in UK and in some asian countries.

Actually I have mentally trend in accounting and mathematics. So I decided to study ACCA and it will lead to MS FINANCE in the same college.
but I heard from some mouth that ACCA is not reputable in Canada.
Firstly, I have attention on getting visa and then I will decide what to do.
It is very hard for me to change mind.
Can you tell me any other reputable course which should be cheap and have good future?

A global mutual recognition agreement has been signed between two leading international accountancy bodies, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Certified General Accountants Association of Canada (CGA-Canada).

The Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA), will bring real value to both bodies’ members, and enhance the services provided by both bodies to their members.
So before enter in CGA, it is necessary to get b in business or via ACCA.

Yes you are right,
but beside of study, all the students need some economically help as well.
I lived in the UK about 1 year but unfortunately, when I was applying for extension my mother died, due to which I came back in Pakistan.
We can not support ourself and survive in UK now.
So I decided to go Canada.

Do canadian employers hire ACCA professionals? ...and how bout CATs ...what is the salary range they offer?.

I have applied for PR in Canada and I have done CAIIBF(Certified Associate of Indian Institue of Banking and Finance) + Masters in Economics and Diploma in Tresury and Risk Management .acutally my relative is intrested in doing ACCA thorugh CAT . Is it benefiacial to do it through CAT. They are also offering Bsc in Applied A/c from Oxford Brooks with ACCA.

There are ten papers of CAT and if any one have done CAT then he can exempt from 3 papers of ACCA.
CAT takes 1 year to complete.
So I think that there is benefit of doing CAT.

London school of finance have a new campus in Toronto and they are offering ACCA+MBA/MS (finance)
in one fees.

I guess if one has intesion to establish himself in forgien country than ACCA is beneficial as it is recognised in Canada and we can convert it to CGA after completing some reqiurements . It is not very tough as compared to Indian CA which is having very less passing results . So,I guess is one wants to settle in Canada/Uk/Australia he/she should go for ACCA .

Yes,you are absolutely right. You are first one who gives a good comments about ACCA. But many people in the forum don't like it.
Every one have its own opinion but I think that overall ACCA is worldwide famous and as you say we can convert it to CGA after completing some requirements.

Work hard in every feild you get in . Its not possible to do CGA from India/Pakistan but its possible to do ACCA from there . I am sure its beneficial.
