Is there anyone here who has started a sponsorship case in late 2008 or early 2009 still waiting for their case to be finalized?

Ohhh sadgirl, I am so sad for you that your case has not been resolved yet. I simply cant imagine, and don't understand how CIC can let it go on for so long. Have you made any recent case specific inquiries to London? Is it still dtuck in "security checks"?

im a long time waiter.

We filed on Jan 21, 2009 and we were rejected but won our appeal on march 16th. Our file is now back in New Delhi as of April13. And more waiting. I dont know what I will do once the waiting is finally over. My husband is watching the mail and I am watching ecas as if it will change by the hour. I guess it gives me a sense I am doing something as dumb as that sounds. I havent seen my husband since October. Enough already COME ON DELHI!!!!!! ;D

My husband's application was filed January 31, 2008, he had an interview May 5, 2009, and was rejected. We filed notice we wanted to appeal in July, 2009, and yesterday I learned our appeal will be on July 6, 2010. I'm thrilled - but also very nervous - that they have finally set an appeal date, but very upset that everything has taken so long.

sadgirl, do you know what could be taking so long? Have you ordered CAIPS notes? London is usually not that slow. Are you in a special situation that makes it more complicated?

Canadianwoman you have all my sympathy. This wait is a killer and you have been waiting longer than me. Is your case ADR or full hearing?

Canadianwoman, I am so happy that you finally have a date for your appeal! I really hope this process will be over for you soon.

Thanks for your kind words. It is a full hearing. I am really nervous. We really don't have much evidence from the beginning of our relationship. When I get upset I don't talk well; I know I didn't do well at the interview in Accra.

are you going to hire a lawyer? I had ADR and I was very nervous but once they started asking me questions I knew our future was on the line and I got courage and calmed down. You will too. They look for confidence when you talk about your relationship. Just prepare well and you will do fine.

Yeah, I hired a lawyer. We did the application on our own, and that didn't work, so I thought I'd try a lawyer. I'm of two minds about it - it's awfully expensive, and so far she doesn't seem to have done much. Still, at the hearing itself she will surely be useful. I don't really get why we were refused in the first place. I've been dating my husband since 2001 - if he were just in it for a visa to Canada, I think he would have given up by now.

yes I know what you mean same in my case we have been in a relationship for over 7 years didnt seem to mean anything. I went to his country and we never got married until I went the second time 2 years later. I thought if he was only after me for visa he would have moved on long ago

I am feeling extremely impatient. I am just wondering.. How much time do they give you to have a medical and PCC redone since its expired?
