Hi All,

My laywer is saying to wait for some days for applying for AEO as some change are expected in coming 8-10 days in AEO rules.

Anybody has any idea? :o

Hi sati,
I too been hearing that the application process thru AEO will come to a closure by sept 30, but have no solid statement on the official website or any other source to support it

Hi,

our consultant is saying that there is NO closure for AEO applications!

Regards,
Louise!

Hi
I dnt thnk that they will change the rules so quick or on regular basis........
rest is on almighty...........
gsidhu........

CIO has no leaking agents and agents can not have inside informers in CIO office.

No one knows when the rules would change other then CIO. Our agents jobs is to pass informal information and keep us paying their fee, assuming they know everything. I am not discouraging you, take your own decision.

If you qualify at this second then do not wait for next second.

No one was knowing for Fsw1 the rules would change on 25 June 2010, all of a sudden it got published. No agent was even having any clue. Many new NOC got in and many got out.

Hope it answers..

This is like the party game where one person whispers a message and you see what it turns into by the end of the line....I wonder if the information about the end of AEO by 30 September 2010 could be related to the following?
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/special-tech.asp
Working temporarily in Canada: Special categories—Information technology workers
IMPORTANT

The simplified entry process for information technology (IT) specialists will come to an end on September 30, 2010.

Effective October 1, 2010, employers who wish to hire foreign workers previously eligible for IT facilitated processing will be required to apply for a Labour Market Opinion.

Note: for employers wanting to hire foreign workers for positions in Quebec, the facilitated process will remain in place for a limited time after September 30, 2010.

I hope this helps.

Dear Sati, I did not come to know you have a positive AEO in hand or you are just going to apply for AEO (I mean your employer is going to ....)?

Thanks Pippin,

I think you're right and it's about the IT category!
Maybe it would be better for people to write their NOC code with their posting..... ::) before giving other AEO applicants a heartattack!!!!!
Continuing waiting..........

regards,
Louise!

But I, personally, think it is logical with this 7-8 months queue and back log on AEO taking, there would be a revision in the procedures of Service Canada. This comes more strong with the steps taken by CIC on Feb 28, 2008 and then June 26, 2010. It looks in-line, what do you think?
But don't worry Louise, better or tighter revision will not affect our situation as the old appliers ....
