Hi guys. Do my employee have any chance to get LMO for me? I'm working in small roofing company. Just me, owner and one guy who is self employed. What do you think about it? I forgot, working in Toronto

I disagree. Service Canada will assess a number of things in an LMO application, the first of which is the employer. Since the employer has no current employees (the self employed person would be a contractor), I doubt very much that the employer would be approved.

The criteria for LMO approval are as follows:

1. Has the job been advrtised correctly. HRSDC has guidelines.
2. Has the foreign applicant more experience/skillsets than any of the Canadian/PR applicants.
3. Is the salary acceptable for the job category.

Number 2 will be the big sticking point for the job you have described.
