yes u can get rejected if u send ur documents after deadline of GIC. there is a deadline for GIC in scotiabank for Jan 2013 intake.

if u r planning for fall 13 then there is no chance of rejection if u apply now.

2) have seen few people whose visa got rejected, who did GIC. but that was because their course was not matching to previous study.
