My documents were received in Buffalo Consulate on 29 March 2010. I am still waiting for my AOR and file number. After sending three enquirees got a reply that it could take up to 30 weeks (7.5 month). So my wait continues...............

I saw some people who send document to buffalo in mach april and may already got their AOR.But what about you .still waiting.ITS TOO MUCH AS YOU SEND DOCUMENT IN MARCH.

tHANKS

My Full documents are delivered at Buffalo on June 21st. I sent an inquiry through Buffalo Consulate website on August 20th asking about 2nd AoR. I received standard reply. Today (September 3rd) I received my full package back (without 2nd AoR). Inside notice states that I need to provide proof of legal admittance into USA (I am Indian national). I have 60 days to submit from the date the letter was created, which is August 03, 2010 (this date is stamped with a rubber stamp). This really means I have only 30 days, which is not a problem in my case.

What proof did I provide initially for legal admittance?
I sent my stamped visa in my passport which shows the H1B is issued for 3 years.

What proof Buffalo asked me to furnish now?
1. Entry & exit stamps in my passports (expired or current)
2. Documentation on date of admittance & validity (expired or current)
3. I-797 (H1B)

I hope this information will be useful for AoR waiters (like me) and future Buffalo filers.

A question from my side: Buffalo asked me to send the full application again. Do I need to sign and date the application again. The 4th page of Background document has entry for date & signature. Do I need to sign and date them as of today?

Hi..
I sent my application to Buffalo, I am worried myself that mine will be returned with similar reasons. Mine was received in Buffalo office June 7, I am still waiting for the second AOR

**********
From BUffalo Specific Visa office Instruction:

4.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS AND PASSPORTS

•Passports or travel documents for you, your spouse or common-law partner and your dependent children. Include only copies of pages showing:
•the passport number,
•date of issue and expiry,
•your photo, name, date and place of birth.

•If you live in a country different from your nationality, include a photocopy of your visa for the country where you currently live.

•You must hold a valid regular passport; diplomatic, official, service or public affairs passports are not valid for immigration to Canada.

**********

The only requirement listed here is to include a photocopy of visa - which is H1-B visa approval. This is the only document I enclosed, not the visa entry stamp (this has actually expired long time ago). Since they did not lsit the requirment that copy of visa entry stamp on the passport, I did not send it.

Did you send the copy of your H1B approval?

I am curious what other Buffalo filers enclose/inclue in their application for

This requirement:

•If you live in a country different from your nationality, include a photocopy of your visa for the country where you currently live.

anyone?

Thanks

hi Guys

I think my document will also return back because of same case.they received my document on june 14 still no reply.

For guys who suspect the package may be returned, go ahead and contact Buffalo office through online inquiry form. In my case they were sitting on the case for a month before sending. I believe (just personal opinion) they woudn't have sent the document within the 60 days for resubmitting and may have closed the case for non-receipt of response had I not contacted them. Again, its just a personal feeling with no substantiation.
I submitted all visa related documents I had including H1B approvals. I waiting to see if they respond with an AoR. I still hope CIC is better than USCIS.

Did you send the H1B approvals from USCIS in your first application or in your second application?
