Hi,
I applied for my spousal outland PR on Sep 2019. Everything goes well until this Covid-19. Last update on my application was medical passed on February 2020. Complete silence after that. Meanwhile I came to canas on Visitor visa on September 2019 and extended it in April 2020 and again on October 2020. I am not sure about when I am going to get my PR and worrying about extending more. So what to know if is it a good idea to change to Inland and what are the impacts because of it? Thanks in advance.

You start over from scratch and it is likely a colossal waste of time. Before taking this radical step, you can now contact your mp and see where it is, order GCMS notes, etc.

Although keep in mind that given covid, you are not really running that much over the target 12 months.

As said above, you can't really switch. If you want to change to inland, you have to withdraw your outland application and submit a brand new inland application. All processing times will reset and start from scratch. So you're basically going to lose over a year of processing time by doing this.

Hi, did you end up changing from outland to inland? How is your pr going?
