v have been in Canada for the last 7 weeks . till todate havnt received SIN paper. it was said it is due to back log thou have friends who got the sin paper there and than . Cudnt do anything - cannot buy car or house, no addmissions , no health card, no PR CARD, no driving test,..........V are very much surprised - Money spending is lot, soon it will end than what? if v get sick than what? really don't know what to do; This not what we expected.

Where and how did you apply for your SIN? When you apply for a SIN they issue a temporary card on the spot that lets you start working immediately. There is no need to wait for anything to come in the mail.

what paper ? u mean paper :" confirmation of sin application with name and date and stamp of services Canada?
I applied in person at services Canada.
