Am visiting Canada but have had to replace my passport

Hi all.

I am currently in Canada on a eTA, and have had to replace my passport as it was damaged. Does anyone know what I should do with regards to my visa? My guess would be to reapply, but I don't know if I can leave on a visa if I never entered on it. I've been looking for solid information on this for a while, but it's not clear, so any advice would be much appreciated.

Hi

You don't have a visa and you don't need to do anything. If you wish to travel to Canada in the future, you just apply for a new eTA.

There are no immigration checks or requirements when leaving Canada.
