I'm the express entry primary applicant and my spouse also got PR with me (through that same application).

In that case, do we have a sponsorship relation?

If yes, do I have the same responsibilities as a Family Class Sponsorship?
If no, are there similar responsibilities to support "dependents" ?

Thank you!

thanks for the quick reply! Do you know any site that I can get more information about that?
There is no more information. You are not a sponsor, period. You are the Principal Applicant and your spouse is a dependant.

Thanks for the replies! I was checking the PR confirmation document, and in the sponsor section it says "N/A" for both my wife and I.
So I suppose that's as official as it gets :)

Now, changing the question a little bit, does the primary applicant has any legal responsibilities on the dependants??
I know that we had to show proof of funds to support the family, so I would imagine that there is some law to actually make the applicant support them? (similar to the sponsorship one)

Legally no. But why wouldn't you?

You can ask the same question for sponsorship, right? Why wouldn't someone not support their sponsored relative? But it happens, that's why there are laws.... But I couldn't find much information about the Express Entry case. I'm trying to learn about immigration law.

Do you know any source to check that answer?

Basic family law requires you to support your children...

Then its more about family law of Canada. Not immigration one LOL

Yes, of course :)
But still, for Family Class visa there is family law PLUS sponsorship law.

I guess the conclusion is that Express Entry has no additional laws regarding family support.

Thank you all for the help!
