Boy am I glad I found this site! It looks like a great place to get straightforward answers. Here's my question. I was born in Canada (Quebec) in 1964. I obtained U.S. citizenship through my father who was born in the U.S. This was in 1982 or so. I've been living in the U.S. since then. Am I still a Canadian citizen? I want to get Canadian citizenship papers for my daughter, but I want to be sure that I'm still a citizen before I jump through that set of hoops.

Thanks in advance for your help!

1. Yes you are. You have a Quebec Birth Certificate, that is proof enough.

Thanks so much, PMM! I was pretty sure that I was still a Canadian citizen, but I just needed to hear it from someone else. :)
