I am currently working here in Libya for 3 years now and obtaining a residence w/c will expire on August this year.Currently I'm working in a oil drilling company for 2 years now as rig electrician, assisting the chief rig electrician.
I used to be a handyman before I got this job and frankly speaking it's my first time working as a rig electrician.
Do you think am I qualified enough to apply as a skilled worker? If not, in what category am I qualified?

Probably not, as you would not be classified as a electrician as it appears that you haven't went through an apprenticeship of at least 9000 hours. Probably classed as a helper, which would not fit into the list of 38.
