Hello,

I submitted my EE profile last month. I think I registered for job bank correctly. How can I confirm that my profile is in the pool now?

Where is this application? Details
Application/profile status Open
Province/Territory Nomination No nomination at this time
Job Bank Registration Accepted
Review of Minimum Entry Criteria Met
ITA Status No invitation at this time

The above is from my account. Does this mean my profile is in the system?

Is there anything else I need to do at this stage?

Firstly your EE profile must be eligible, and you should have received message from CIC in pdf file and see that message whether you are in a pool or not.i am pretty sure you are in the pool because in your eligibility it shows met,Double check in cic inbox,
Good Luck :P ::)

Yes you are, down below it should also state your score, make sure it's there. and good luck receiving an ITA in the next draw!

Obviously, as you mentioned status above, you are in the pool.

Best of luck

Thank you everyone for confirming :) I was very hopeful a couple of months ago and even up until I created my profile.

But seeing the last few draws, I am starting to lose hope :( I am at 475 points, and don't have much scope to improve my score. Is there a chance for me?

Same here!! I'm sitting at 478 for almost 2 months now, scores were always below mine all year, until I created my profile and jinxed the whole EE!

but let's not lose hope, it has to go down eventually this year.

Yes, hopefully! I see that some people have said the scores have gone up to make sure that there less than 800 invites per draw to clear the backlogs. Is that the generally accepted explanation?

If so, when do we expect it to start going down again? How are people actually even forecasting things like these?

They do have backlogs to clear, also the number of Syrian refugees counts into the number of immigrants Canada plans to take a year, it seems that currently most of the ITAs issued are to PNPs and people already working in Canada, family hosting, Canadian uni graduates.. etc
but it has to go down eventually, since a few PNPs already filled their maximum nominations for the year, and the rest will follow, which should allow us a chance in the pool

You should try for a PNP though, once you get one you're guaranteed an ITA in the next draw

Oh, are you trying for one? I don't know much about it, but I didn't think that a state would nominate me, so I haven't given much thought to it. Is that a realistic chance?

Yes of course it is and you could very much have a chance

The thing about PNP is, each province has it's own rules which are very different from the others, it's complicated and I studied them daily for a week until I reached the conclusion that I'm only eligible for Ontario PNP, but they already closed for 2016 and probably will stay closed till November
because my profession is a regulated one and I don't have a Canadian license yet, I have no hope for a job offer either.

But you have to follow them almost daily, cause once a province needs a certain profession they open for applicants, there's your chance
for example Saskatchewan recently released this list saskatchewan.ca /residents/moving-to-saskatchewan/immigrating-to-saskatchewan/saskatchewan-immigrant-nominee-program/applicants-international-skilled-workers/sinp-in-demand-occupation-list

Pay close attention to each province PNP website, good luck.

I think it's wise to be patient those who have CRS score above 470 as applying for a PNP(if any available) would cost you both time and money. Scores for draws will come down in future in next few draws as they have planned to immigrate a lot more people by the end of this year.
