Hello.
I'm 23 male single and live in Kurdistan-Iraq and after 8 months I get my Bachelor degree in Computer Science,
I have worked as a software and application programmer for quite a long time, I can bring about 13K $ to support myself when i come to Canada.

I wounder if i'm eligible to apply for permanent resident under Skilled Worker type A and NOC 2174 after I got my degree?

Thanks :D

You're most likely eligible to create an Express Entry profile (after you've taken a language test and had your education officially assessed). However it's impossible for any of us to guess whether you will be selected. You'll have to see how many points you have. As of now, only those with 450+ points have been selected.

Thanks for the quick reply, how should one calculate the points?

Detailed information about the Express Entry program is available on the CIC web site:

Thanks, I have read most of it but haven't seen CRS points :D I'll make sure to read it now.
Based on unofficial Express Entry CRS Calculator which I just took I got 1028 points, it's enough, right?

Yes - it's enough to apply. There is actually no minimum point level to apply.

Make sure you don't say "yes" to having a job offer in Canada unless you have an employer who has offered you a full time job AND your employer has also obtained an approved LMIA. Also keep in mind that you can't apply until after you have taken a language test and had your education assessed.

Thanks for this great tip, I really appreciate it.
